Los Angeles: Cricket matches at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games will begin on July 12, with medal matches scheduled for July 20 and 29. Most matches in the T20 tournament will be double-headers, starting at 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. local time. No matches will be played on July 14 and 21.

All matches will be held at Fair Grounds Stadium, while a temporary stadium will be built in Pomona, about 50 km from Los Angeles, to host additional games. The tournament will feature six men’s and six women’s teams, with 180 players participating, each team comprising 15 players.

There is no confirmation yet on the qualification process for the 2028 Olympics. However, the USA is expected to participate as the host nation, leaving five remaining slots to be filled through qualifiers.

Earlier, the United States hosted T20 World Cup matches in New York, Florida, and Dallas, including the high-profile India-Pakistan match in New York. The first match of the Olympic T20 tournament will also be played in the USA.
