Chandigarh: Dera Beas chief Gurinder Singh Dhillon on Tuesday met Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia, who is lodged in Nabha Jail. The meeting between the two lasted for about half an hour.
After leaving the jail, the Dera chief interacted with people gathered outside and later went to Hira Mahal to meet the descendants of Nabha’s royal family.
Meanwhile, the jail administration has not allowed senior SAD leaders to meet Majithia.
In recent days, leaders including Daljit Singh Cheema, Sikander Singh Maluka, Mahesh Inder Grewal and Virsa Singh Valtoha were denied permission, with officials citing that only relatives are allowed to meet him.
