Mayor, Commissioner, councillors and officials unite to address public issues; directives issued to complete pending works on priority
Jalandhar News: A key meeting was held at the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation office under the leadership of Aam Aadmi Party’s Central Assembly in-charge Nitin Kohli to accelerate development projects and resolve public issues in the Central constituency.
Mayor Vanit Dhir, Senior Deputy Mayor Balbir Singh, Municipal Commissioner Gautam Jain, councillors, departmental officers, ward in-charges, and block heads attended the meeting. Detailed discussions were held on issues related to water supply, road repairs, sanitation, street lighting, and other civic amenities.
Commissioner Gautam Jain directed all officials to immediately initiate all pending projects and ensure their completion within set deadlines. Mayor Vanit Dhir instructed that all construction, repair, and maintenance works be prioritised and expedited without delay.
Nitin Kohli used the meeting as a platform for dialogue and coordination, facilitating direct interaction between officials, councillors, ward in-charges, and block heads to foster prompt and collaborative solutions to public welfare issues. Several problems were resolved on the spot through administrative intervention.
“This meeting was not just for discussions—it was meant to deliver results. Now the public will see real work on the ground and begin to feel the change,” Kohli said.

The meeting concluded with a firm resolve that all civic amenities in the Central constituency will be delivered promptly, with quality and transparency, and no further delay in development work will be tolerated.
