Melbourne: Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh has made history by becoming the first Indian artist to fill an entire stadium in Sydney, Australia. His AURA World Tour concert drew a crowd of nearly 30,000 fans, with ticket prices soaring up to $800. The electrifying performance marked a major milestone in Dosanjh’s global music journey.
However, his trip to Australia was not without controversy. Upon his arrival, the singer was subjected to racial slurs after paparazzi photos were posted online. Some users left derogatory comments such as, “A new Uber driver has arrived,” and “A new 7-11 employee has landed.”
In a dignified response, Dosanjh addressed the racist remarks in a behind-the-scenes video shared on his YouTube channel, choosing to focus on positivity and self-respect rather than negativity.
Fans and fellow artists have since lauded the singer for his composure and for making India proud on the global stage.
