Mumbai: Bollywood actor and Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh has addressed speculation linking him to the Illuminati, revealing the story behind his previous world tour title, Dil-Luminati.
Speaking in an interview at Apple Music Studios in Los Angeles, Dosanjh said the name was inspired by rumours that surfaced after his performance in New Zealand last year.
During the show, he made a hand gesture he calls the “Chakra,” which some social media users claimed was a sign of association with the secretive group.
“I didn’t know anything about the Illuminati at that time,” Dosanjh said, adding that when people jokingly teased him about it, he decided to name his tour Dil-Luminati as a playful response. “I liked the name so much that I kept it,” he said with a laugh.
Dosanjh described the story as being as entertaining as his music and career journey.
