Gurugram: An emerging tennis player, Radhika Yadav, was allegedly shot dead by her father at their home in Gurugram’s Sushant Lok-2 on Thursday.
Radhika, who had won several state-level titles, was taken to the hospital with bullet injuries but was declared dead on arrival.
According to the police, the father fired five rounds at his daughter, with three bullets hitting her.
The motive behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, and police have launched an investigation into why the father shot his daughter, who had brought him recognition through her achievements in tennis.
