Fake identity used to harass women doctors, faces deportation from Canada

Toronto: A 36-year-old Indian-origin man has been arrested in Canada for allegedly using a fake Punjabi identity to carry out inappropriate acts with women doctors at multiple clinics.

According to Peel Regional Police, the accused, identified as Vaibhav, had created forged identity documents under the name “Akashdeep Singh” to conceal his real identity.

Police said the accused would visit clinics in Mississauga posing as a patient suffering from a medical condition. He allegedly targeted facilities where female doctors were available, and during consultations, would remove his clothes and behave inappropriately under the pretext of medical examination.

Authorities said the man repeated the pattern across several clinics, often fleeing after his actions. The matter came to light after one of the doctors filed a complaint, prompting an investigation.

Using CCTV footage and fake identity records, police arrested the accused on December 4, 2025. Investigators later confirmed that multiple complaints had been filed under the fake name.

Officials said the accused is currently a permanent resident of Canada and resides in Brampton. Legal proceedings are underway, and deportation action has also been initiated.

Police have urged other victims to come forward as the investigation continues.
