Nabha: A clash broke out between the police and members of a farmers’ union outside the office of Nabha DSP Mandeep Kaur on Monday. The farmers alleged that the police failed to take action against those who stole their tractor trolleys.
Protesters gheraoed the DSP’s vehicle and raised slogans, demanding the arrest of the accused.
The situation turned tense when the farmers clashed with the police, leading to injuries on both sides. Several farmers were injured and many lost their turbans during the scuffle.
Police said that members of the union also blocked the road outside the DSP’s office and misbehaved with woman DSP and manhandled some cops during the protest.
