Five arrested in Nuh clash, police hunt for others

Nuh, Haryana: Five people have been arrested in connection with a violent clash in a village on the Rajasthan-Haryana border. The accused, all from Hajipur in Alwar district of Rajasthan, were remanded in judicial custody. They are Lukman (32), Zubair (37), Umardeen (35), Sakrullah Khan (40) and Rustam (37).

The clash, which erupted over a car parking dispute on Tuesday, left seven people injured. A mob reportedly pelted stones, hurled glass bottles, and set a bike and a shop on fire.

Police deployed two companies to control the situation, while raids continue to nab other accused.

Nuh police denied reports that announcements from a mosque incited the violence. SP Rajesh Kumar said investigations and raids are underway to apprehend all those involved.
