Former AIG Rachpal Singh arrested in 2019 false narcotics case

Chandigarh: The Punjab Police has booked its former Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Rachpal Singh in connection with a false case registered in 2019.

According to sources, Singh, who has also served as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in various districts and was associated with the Special Task Force (STF), has been arrested.

The case pertains to allegations that Singh, along with other police officials, falsely implicated a man by registering a case against him for the possession of 200 grams of narcotics in 2019.

Police sources said further details, including possible arrests of other officers involved, are expected to be disclosed soon.
