Chandigarh: Former Punjab minister and MLA Laljit Singh Bhullar was arrested by Amritsar Police on Monday from Mandi Gobindgarh in connection with the alleged suicide of warehousing officer Gagandeep Singh Randhawa.
The case was registered at Ranjit Avenue police station based on a complaint filed by Randhawa’s wife Upinder Kaur. Apart from Bhullar, his father Sukhdev Singh Bhullar and personal assistant Dilbagh Singh have also been named in the FIR.
Randhawa, who was serving as district manager in the Punjab Warehousing Corporation in Amritsar, had levelled several allegations against Bhullar before taking the extreme step.
