Patiala: Four Punjab Police inspectors involved in the attack on Army Colonel Pushpinder Singh Bath and his son in Patiala have returned to duty after remaining absconding since the incident on March 13.

Colonel Bath and his son Angad were attacked by 12 policemen, including four inspectors, over a parking dispute at a roadside dhaba near Rajindra Hospital in Patiala.

The inspectors returned to duty after the investigation was handed over to the CBI, officials said.

They had rejoined their places of posting in Sangrur, Barnala and Malerkotla on Wednesday following their suspension and were transferred to Bathinda and Ludhiana on Thursday.

The inspectors have been identified as Harjinder Dhillon, Harry Boparai, Ronnie Singh and Shaminder Singh.
