Jind: Two bike-borne youths were shot near the Rohtak border in Haryana’s Jind district, leaving one dead and another injured in what is suspected to be a gang-related incident.

The deceased has been identified as Rishi Lohan, a resident of Rajpura Bhain in Jind, who had 12 cases registered against him, including charges of murder, extortion, kidnapping, and under the Arms Act.

He died on the spot after the attackers, who arrived on two motorcycles, opened fire with more than 15 rounds.

The injured youth, identified as Manish from the same village and said to be a kabaddi player, is undergoing treatment at Rohtak PGI.

Police have launched an investigation, with initial reports indicating that the shooting may be linked to an ongoing gang rivalry in the region.
