New Delhi: The Luthra brothers, Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, owners of the Goa nightclub where at least 25 people were killed in a massive fire, have reached Delhi. The two were deported from Bangkok after they fled to Phuket in Thailand within hours of the incident.
Officials said the brothers will be produced before Delhi’s Patiala House Court by central agencies, from where the Goa Police will seek their transit remand.
Investigators said Saurabh Luthra and Gaurav Luthra were attending a wedding in Delhi at the time of the incident. They allegedly left the country soon after the fire broke out at the nightclub on December 6.
The fire is suspected to have started during a fire show at the club. Authorities have alleged that the nightclub was being run without a valid security permit. Further investigation in the case is underway.
