Chandigarh: A Hisar court on Monday extended the judicial custody of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, arrested on suspicion of espionage, till September 3.
Malhotra appeared before Judicial Magistrate (First Class) Sunil Kumar, who remanded him further in custody, his lawyer Kumar Mukesh said.
Malhotra, a resident of Hisar, runs a YouTube channel titled Travel with Jo. He was arrested by Hisar police on May 16.
Earlier, on June 9, a court had rejected his regular bail plea after the police opposed it, citing that the investigation was still underway.
