MELBOURNE: India defeated Australia by 48 runs in the fourth T20I to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series.
After winning the toss, Australia opted to bat first, but India posted 167 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Australia were bowled out for 119 in 18.2 overs.
For India, Washington Sundar was the pick of the bowlers, taking three wickets, while Axar Patel and Shivam Dubey claimed two wickets each.
The series was tied 1-1 before this match, with the first T20I in Perth abandoned due to rain and India winning the third match in Canberra by five wickets.
