New Delhi: India defeated New Zealand by 96 runs in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to win the T20 World Cup 2026 title.
New Zealand won the toss in the final and invited India to bat first. The Indian team made a strong start and posted a massive total of 255 runs for the loss of five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
Chasing a target of 255 runs, New Zealand failed to withstand the pressure from the Indian bowlers and were bowled out for 159 runs in 19 overs.
With this victory, India won the match by 96 runs and clinched the T20 World Cup 2026 title.
