New Delhi: According to the latest advisory on the Indian Embassy’s website, a new business visa for Chinese nationals has been effective from 1 January.
Applicants no longer need to visit the embassy or agents and can apply online.
Launched to meet the growing demand for business visas, the visa is expected to be issued within 45–50 days and allows a stay of up to six months in India. It can be used for plant design, training, quality checks, IT ramp-up, and senior management activities.
Indian companies wishing to invite Chinese nationals can register on the DPIIT’s National Single Window System (NSWS) portal, while applicants can submit their requests through the ‘Indian Visa Online’ portal.
