Washington: US President Donald Trump on Tuesday claimed that he had resolved the “very big” conflict between nuclear-armed India and Pakistan, while expressing disappointment at Russian President Vladimir Putin for not ending the war in Ukraine.
“I’ve settled a lot of wars since I’ve been here. We’ve been here for about nine months, and I’ve stopped seven wars, and yesterday we almost ended the biggest of them all. Both India and Pakistan were nuclear powers, I sorted it out,” Trump said during a meeting with military leaders in Quantico.
Trump’s remarks come amid continuing global concerns over the Ukraine war and tensions in South Asia.
