New Delhi: India on Wednesday dismissed Pakistan’s objection to Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisting the national flag at the Ram temple in Ayodhya, saying a country with a history of atrocities against its minorities has “no moral right” to comment on India’s internal matters.
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said Pakistan should “look inwards” instead of criticising India.
“Pakistan has no moral right to give speeches to others. Instead of preaching to India, they should look inwards and focus on their human rights record,” he said.
India said PM Modi’s participation in the ceremony at the Ram temple was an internal issue and criticised Pakistan for attempting to politicise the matter.
