New Delhi: India and Russia are preparing to negotiate several agreements, initiatives and projects to strengthen ties during Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to New Delhi early next month.
As part of the preparations, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on Sunday.
“This is a special occasion and even more important for me as we prepare for President Putin’s visit to India for the 23rd Annual Summit,” Jaishankar said. He added that discussions covered bilateral agreements, initiatives and projects across various sectors and are expected to be finalised in the coming days.
Jaishankar said the developments will further strengthen the “Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership” between the two countries.
