Singapore: A 21-year-old Indian national was sentenced to six months in jail on Friday for assaulting and abusing a classmate following a heated argument, Channel News Asia reported.
Senthilkumar Vishnu Shakti, an electrician in tie engineering, confessed to intentionally causing harm to 31-year-old Nesamani Hariharan. The incident took place around 7 pm on February 15 while the victim was sitting on his bed.
Senthilkumar, who was in an inebriated state, entered the Kalang hostel where both were staying and accused the victim of spying on him and reporting his work performance to the supervisor.
