New Delhi: IndiGo will offer travel vouchers worth ₹10,000 to passengers who were severely affected by the airline’s large-scale disruptions in recent days, a spokesperson said on Thursday. The vouchers can be used for any IndiGo flight within the next 12 months.
The airline said this compensation will be provided in addition to the benefits already mandated under government guidelines.
As per those rules, passengers whose flights were cancelled within 24 hours of departure are entitled to compensation between ₹5,000 and ₹10,000, depending on the block time of the flight.
The spokesperson added that the move aims to support customers who faced significant inconvenience as the airline struggled with widespread cancellations over the past week.
