New Delhi: The first-phase schedule of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 has been announced, with the tournament set to start on March 28.
The opening match will feature Sunrisers Hyderabad against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The second match of the season will be played on March 29, when Mumbai Indians take on Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings are among the most successful teams in the IPL, with both franchises having won the tournament multiple times.
During IPL 2026, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will play five home matches in Bengaluru and two additional home games in Raipur.
