Assam: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday said a lookout notice has been issued against North East India Festival organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta and singer Zubin Garg’s manager Siddharth Sharma in connection with Garg’s death.
In a Facebook Live, Sarma said the two should appear in Guwahati on October 6 to record their statements.
“Durga Puja festival is going on, so they may not come immediately, but after Dashami they must come. If they fail to appear, police will intensify the search operation,” the chief minister said.
He added that if they do not wish to appear before the CID, which is probing Garg’s drowning in Singapore on September 19, they can move court.
