New Delhi: Monalisa Bhosle, who went viral during the 2025 Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, is back in the spotlight after reportedly marrying her Muslim boyfriend Farmaan.
According to police officials in Thiruvananthapuram, Monalisa and Farmaan approached the Thampanoor Police Station seeking protection after deciding to live together and get married. The couple informed the police that they had recently tied the knot and feared opposition from Monalisa’s family due to their interfaith relationship.
Monalisa alleged that her family, particularly her father Jai Singh Bhosle, was strongly opposed to the relationship and had pressured her to return home. She claimed she faced threats after revealing her plans to marry Farmaan.
Police said the couple told investigators that they had been in a relationship for around one and a half years and first connected through Facebook. They decided to move to Kerala to stay away from social and religious pressure.
During verification, authorities confirmed that Monalisa is an adult. After questioning both sides, police allowed the couple to leave together as she is legally free to make her own decision regarding marriage.
Monalisa became an internet sensation during the 2025 Maha Kumbh when videos of her selling rudraksha beads and garlands with her family circulated widely on social media. Her striking blue-grey eyes drew massive attention online, turning her into a viral personality overnight. She later reportedly received an acting offer in the film The Diary of Manipur.
