Ferozepur: The key shooter involved in the murder of Naveen Arora, grandson of senior RSS leader Dina Nath Neta, has been killed in a police encounter in Fazilka, officials said on Thursday.
Naveen Arora was shot dead on November 15 in a busy market in Ferozepur. The Ferozepur police continued the investigation and claimed a major breakthrough after tracking down the prime accused.
DIG Ferozepur Range Harmanbir Singh Gill said the police had cracked the case on November 15 by identifying the main suspects. “We identified and arrested four accused, while one accused was killed in a police encounter,” he said.
According to the DIG, special teams were constituted under the supervision of gazetted officers to handle the case, given its sensitivity. Using technical and human intelligence, the police arrested Harsh, Kanv and Gursimran Singh, also known as Jatin or Kali, along with the main accused Badal.
Police said the investigation is ongoing to determine the motive and any wider network involved in the crime.
