Mohali: A Mohali court has rejected the bail application of former Akali minister Bikram Singh Majithia, who is lodged in Nabha’s New Jail on charges of possessing disproportionate assets.
The court observed that the investigation in the case is still underway, making it inappropriate to grant bail at this stage.
Speaking to reporters, Majithia’s lawyer Arshdeep Singh Kaler said he would challenge the decision in the Punjab and Haryana High Court after examining the court’s verdict.
