Gurugram: Rohit Shokeen, a financier in the music industry, was shot dead on SPR Link Road in Sector 77, Gurugram, in a manner reminiscent of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s killing. Both were gunned down and their bodies disfigured in the attack. While Moosewala was killed inside his vehicle, Shokeen was shot outside his car.
According to police sources, over 40 rounds were fired at Shokeen, with at least 12 bullets piercing through his body. His body bore bullet wounds all over, with no part spared, the medical report confirmed.
Investigators suspect that professional shooters were hired for the killing. At least four magazines were emptied during the attack, and dozens of bullet shells were recovered from the scene.
Shokeen’s body was found lying outside the vehicle, and a bag was recovered from inside the car.
Police have launched an investigation and are examining CCTV footage and forensic evidence to identify the assailants.
