CHANDIGARH: Navjot Kaur Sidhu on Tuesday launched a strong attack on Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring after he was suspended from the party over his “Rs 500 crore” remarks. She accused him of weakening the organisation and attempting to shield himself from various cases.
In a series of posts on X, Navjot Kaur alleged that Warring was “flattering the chief minister” to divide the Punjab Congress. “Raja Warring, Waheguru ji has blessed me with His grace to save Punjab from you. You have divided the Punjab Congress into pieces and you are flattering the chief minister and dancing at his behests to save yourself from arrest in several cases,” she wrote.
She further claimed that matters related to the SC/ST Act, the bus body case and alleged illegal possession of 2,500 acres of land had been forwarded by her to the PMO, the Punjab Governor, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. She questioned Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, asking why he was “protecting” Warring.
Navjot Kaur also criticised Warring over the party’s loss in Tarn Taran, alleging that his “stupid, repeated nonsensical remarks” damaged the Congress’ prospects.
She said senior leaders including Partap Singh Bajwa and Charanjit Singh Channi had worked tirelessly to strengthen the party’s position.
