Navjot Kaur Sidhu levels fresh land scam allegations against Punjab Congress chief Raja Warring

Chandigarh: Expelled Congress leader Navjot Kaur Sidhu on Friday launched a fresh attack on Punjab Congress president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, alleging large-scale irregularities in a land deal in Zirakpur.

In a social media post, Sidhu claimed that Warring had purchased 100 acres of land in Zirakpur and alleged that 60 acres were illegally taken from innocent people through forged signatures and thumb impressions. She challenged him to respond in court and said he should be prepared to face jail if the charges are proven.

Sidhu further alleged that a ₹2,400-crore scam was carried out in connivance with a former Punjab Congress in-charge from Rajasthan.

She also accused Warring, who is the Member of Parliament from Ludhiana, of exploiting youth by collecting ₹75 as membership fees from those joining the Congress. She claimed that crores of rupees were being collected without any meaningful steps taken to provide employment to young people.

Responding to the allegations, Raja Warring rejected all charges and declined to comment further, stating that he did not wish to respond to someone “whose mental condition is not stable.”

Notably, Navjot Kaur Sidhu was suspended from the Congress in December last year and formally expelled from the party in February.
