Chandigarh: Former Punjab Congress chief and ex-cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu has no association with the Bharatiya Rashtrawadi Party, his wife Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu said after joining the outfit.
Addressing the media at the Chandigarh Press Club, Dr Sidhu clarified that Navjot Singh Sidhu is currently not affiliated with any political party. She said he has stayed away from politics and is presently focused on his show.
She added that since 2022, no Congress leader has contacted Sidhu, nor has he reached out to anyone. However, Sidhu himself has not made any public statement regarding his political future. His X account still features images of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi.
Dr Sidhu also announced that the Bharatiya Rashtrawadi Party will field candidates on all 117 assembly seats in Punjab.
