Chandigarh: Navneet Chaturvedi is expected to be handed over to the Punjab Police soon after he failed to get any immediate relief from the High Court on Wednesday.
The Ropar court had issued arrest warrants against Chaturvedi on Monday, but the orders could not be carried out due to resistance from the Chandigarh Police.
On Wednesday, the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) of Ropar issued written directions to the SSP, Chandigarh, to ensure compliance with the court’s orders. Sources said Chaturvedi may be handed over to the Ropar Police anytime.
