New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency has arrested an associate of suicide bomber Dr Umar in the Delhi blast case. The accused has been identified as Jasir Bilal Wani alias Danish, a resident of the Qazigund area in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
According to the NIA, Jasir provided technical support for terror activities and modified drones to be used in attacks. He also attempted to develop rockets as part of the plot.
Investigators said Jasir worked closely with the blaster terrorist Umar Un Nabi and was actively involved in planning the attack.
He is described as one of Umar’s most trusted associates who participated in every stage of the conspiracy.
