Chandigarh: The Progressive Punjab Investors Summit 2026 concluded on Sunday in Mohali. Speaking at the closing session, Bhagwant Mann said the summit had been successful and that details of companies planning to invest in Punjab would be shared on Monday.
Mann said the state government would release the full investment data as the government completes four years in office on Monday. “Our opponents fight for chairs, while we stand firm for Punjab,” he said.
The chief minister also targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party over the gas shortage being reported in parts of the country amid the ongoing tensions in West Asia involving Iran and Israel. He alleged that India’s foreign policy had failed, claiming that despite frequent foreign visits by Narendra Modi, the country was unable to prevent the impact of the conflict.
Mann said several companies had expressed interest in investing in the state during the summit. He added that the government plans to organise another meeting with investors around Punjab Day on November 1 and during Diwali, which falls on November 8 this year.
The chief minister also said that the Men’s Hockey Asia Cup may be held in Mohali around the same time, providing an opportunity to interact with investors again and gather their feedback. He added that the government would consider modifying policies if required to facilitate investment in the state.
