New Delhi: On the fourth day of the Winter Session, leaders of several opposition parties staged a protest at the Parliament complex on Thursday over rising air pollution in the national capital.
Congress leader Sonia Gandhi urged the government to take decisive steps to address the crisis. MPs from multiple parties, holding placards, raised slogans outside the Makar Dwar gate of Parliament and called on the Prime Minister to “stop rhetoric and take action”.
Some MPs also wore masks as a symbolic protest to draw attention to Delhi’s severe air pollution levels.
