London: A veterans cricket match between India and Pakistan at the World Championship of Legends (WCL) in England was cancelled on Sunday after Indian players, including Shikhar Dhawan, refused to participate in protest against the Pahalgam terror attack in April.
The second edition of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) tournament began on June 18 at Edgbaston, with the final scheduled for August 2.
World Cup winner Yuvraj Singh is leading the India Champions team, which also includes Shikhar Dhawan, Harbhajan Singh, Yusuf Pathan, Irfan Pathan, Suresh Raina, Robin Uthappa and Varun Aaron.
The WCL organisers posted about the cancellation on their X account, confirming that the match would not take place following the decision of the Indian players.
