Pakistan rejects Trump’s Gaza peace plan, calls for full Israeli withdrawal

Islamabad: Pakistan has distanced itself from US President Donald Trump’s 20-point Gaza peace plan, saying it does not align with the proposals of Muslim countries.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that while Islamic nations had called for a complete Israeli withdrawal from Gaza during their meeting with Trump on September 22, the US plan only suggests a partial withdrawal to secure the release of hostages held by Hamas.

Trump unveiled the plan on September 29. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had earlier expressed support for the initiative by posting about it on X.
