New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that Pakistan tried to spread misinformation about the Adampur airbase in Punjab following the Pahalgam attack, but he visited the base himself the next day and exposed their lies.

Addressing the Lok Sabha during the debate on Operation Sindoor, PM Modi said, “The very next day, I went to the Adampur airbase and exposed their lies. Pakistan tried to spread falsehoods, but we responded with facts.”

He also referred to a BSF jawan who was caught near the Pakistan border following the attack. “Even after the Pahalgam attack, a BSF jawan reached the Pakistan border. They thought they had found another opportunity. On social media, the jawan seemed confused, but he returned with pride,” Modi said.

Modi had visited the Adampur airbase on May 13, a day after India’s Operation Sindoor in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam.

During his visit, he met Indian Air Force personnel and addressed them, reaffirming the government’s commitment to national security.
