CHANDIGARH: A political storm has erupted in Punjab after former chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh launched a sharp attack on suspended Congress leader Navjot Kaur Sidhu over her controversial claim regarding the chief minister’s post.
Dismissing Navjot Kaur Sidhu’s allegation that the chief minister’s chair in Punjab was secured for Rs 500 crore, Amarinder termed the claim “completely false”.
In an interview with news agency PTI, the former chief minister described the Sidhu couple as “unstable”, intensifying the ongoing political row.
Amarinder’s remarks have triggered strong reactions across political circles in the state, further escalating tensions within the Congress amid the controversy surrounding Navjot Kaur Sidhu’s statement.
