Punjab Assembly to hold special session at Sri Anandpur Sahib on November 24

Chandigarh: Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria has convened the 10th special session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha on November 24 at 1 pm at Sri Anandpur Sahib. The session will take place at Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial, according to an official notification.

The Governor invoked clause (1) of Article 174 of the Constitution to call the session outside the Vidhan Sabha complex in Chandigarh.

The sitting has been scheduled to coincide with a three-day commemorative event from November 23 to 25 marking the 350th martyrdom anniversary of ninth Sikh Guru Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in a post on X invited devotees from across India and abroad to join the celebrations. He said the events will offer an opportunity to remember the teachings and supreme sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
