Punjab extends winter holidays in schools till January 7 amid cold wave and fog

Chandigarh: Following the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state government has extended winter holidays in all schools across the state in view of the continuing cold wave and dense fog.

Keeping the health and safety of students and staff in mind, holidays have been announced till January 7 in all government, aided, recognised and private schools in Punjab, the Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains shared this information on his social media on Wednesday.

All schools in the state will now reopen and function as usual from January 8.
