Punjab E News (Pawan Dhupar): After the floods, the situation in Punjab was difficult, but the government did not waste a single moment. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Aam Aadmi Party government has proved that true leadership means treating challenges as responsibilities—stepping into the field, standing with the soil of Punjab, with every village, every street, and every household.
According to the Health Department’s report dated September 15, the Mann government is not just providing relief—it is setting an example of trust. The special health campaign launched across 2,303 villages has sparked new hope throughout the state. Health camps have already been organized in 2,016 villages, where 51,612 people underwent check-ups and received on-the-spot treatment and medicines. These are the very people who were left helpless after the floods but today feel not only relief, but also that the government is there for them, standing right beside them.
The most significant aspect of this entire campaign is that the government itself is reaching out to the people. In 1,929 villages, ASHA workers have gone door-to-door, checking the health of 1,32,322 families and providing medicines and medical kits to those in need. These kits include ORS, paracetamol, Dettol, band-aids, creams, and essential medicines. People themselves are saying that, for the first time, the government is knocking on their doors without even being called.
Along with health, the speed of work in sanitation and disease prevention has become the new face of Punjab’s administrative approach. So far, mosquito breeding sites have been inspected in 1,861 villages, covering 1,08,770 houses. In 2,163 houses where larvae were found, immediate action was taken, and larvicide spraying was carried out in 23,630 houses. In addition, fogging operations were conducted in 878 villages to root out the threat of dengue and malaria. The pace of fogging is such that several villages are being covered in a single day. No corner, no street, and no household has been left out of the government’s reach.
These are not just numbers; they reflect a mindset that treats the people as family. When every minister, MLA, officer, and employee of the government is on the ground, when teams are equipped with modern resources, medical tools, and technical strength, and when the intent to serve is clear—then change is no longer a dream, but a reality.
Today, what is reaching Punjab’s villages is not just medicine, but a message—that the government does not back away from responsibility; it steps forward to fulfill its duty. The Mann government’s health mission has now become more than just a government initiative; it has become a symbol of people’s trust. And this is why today Punjab’s voice is loud and clear: This is not just a government, this is our service… and in the truest sense, the Aam Aadmi Party’s government is our own government.
