Punjab Governor approves special Vidhan Sabha session in Sri Anandpur Sahib

Chandigarh: Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria has approved the government’s proposal to convene a special session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha on November 24. An official notification has been issued to hold the session at 1 pm at Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial in Sri Anandpur Sahib.

With the Governor’s approval, the Vidhan Sabha secretariat has intensified preparations for the historic sitting away from the state capital.

The Punjab Government is organising a series of religious events to mark the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

As part of these commemorations, the state has decided to hold this special session on November 24 and is also conducting light and sound programmes at various locations across Punjab.
