Chandigarh: The Punjab Government has revised school timings across the state in view of dense fog and intensifying cold weather conditions.
Issuing orders on Thursday, Punjab government secretary Anindita Mitra said the revised timings will remain in force from January 16 to January 21.
As per the notification, all government primary schools in Punjab will function from 10 am to 3 pm. Government middle, high and senior secondary schools will operate from 10 am to 3.20 pm during the same period.
The decision has been taken to ensure the safety of students amid reduced visibility and harsh winter conditions, officials said.
