Chandigarh: The Punjab Public Service Commission (PSC) on Friday released the final answer key for the Group B exams, held on December 21, considering both English and Punjabi versions of the questions.
The exams were conducted for posts including Private Assistant, Senior Assistant, Naib Tehsildar, District Treasury Officer, Senior Assistant-cum-Inspector, and Treasury Officer.
Earlier, candidates had raised complaints about discrepancies between the English and Punjabi versions of some questions. Concerns were also expressed over the instruction that, in case of any dispute, the English version would be considered final. Candidates feared this could disadvantage those answering in Punjabi.
The PSC’s final answer key now recognises both English and Punjabi versions for disputed questions, while the provisional key had only followed the English version. One complainant, teacher Interpreet Singh, said he was satisfied with the final key, noting that candidates opting for Punjabi would no longer face any disadvantage.
