Punjabi singer Rajveer Jawanda dies at 35 after battling for life for 11 days, cremation tomorrow

Mohali: Punjabi singer Rajveer Jawanda passed away at the age of 35 on Wednesday morning. He breathed his last at 10:55 am at Fortis Hospital in Mohali, where he had been on a ventilator for the past 11 days.

According to Fortis Hospital officials, Jawanda was admitted with severe spinal and brain injuries following a road accident. Despite continuous medical efforts, he succumbed to multiple organ failure on Wednesday.

Punjabi singer and actor Ammy Virk said that Jawanda’s body will first be taken to his residence in Sector 71, Mohali, and later to his ancestral village, Pona, near Jagraon in Ludhiana, for the final rites. The cremation will take place on Thursday.

Jawanda met with an accident on September 27 while riding his motorcycle from Baddi to Shimla. He reportedly suffered a heart attack while being taken to the hospital after the crash. He was later shifted to Fortis Hospital, where he remained under intensive care until his death.

The news of Rajveer Jawanda’s passing has left the Punjabi music industry and his fans in deep sorrow, with tributes pouring in for the singer known for his melodious voice and popular tracks like Sardari, Tu Dis Penda, and Kali Camaro.
