Expressed gratitude to Member Parliament Malvinder Singh Kang for ensuring secure repatriation
Rahon (Nawanshahr): The efforts of Sri Anandpur Sahib Member Parliament Malvinder Singh Kang have brought cheer for a local family when their three kidnapped members in Iran arrived safe and sound at local ancestral house on Monday evening.
On being repatriated to their homeland, the victims Dharminder Singh, his wife Sandeep Kaur and their young son Mankirat Singh resident of local mohalla Chowk Pattuan expressed gratitude to the prompt intervention of Member Parliament Malvinder Singh Kang, which further ensure to locate and rescue by the Ministry of External Affairs in the Iran. The family has no limits of joy when they reunite after reaching Rahon as the old age parents of the victims were broke into tears.
Giving details of the entire incident, Member Parliament Malvinder Singh Kang stated that the family members met him with a heavy heart as their loved ones were kidnapped after landing at Tehran on September 25. These trio were victims of heinous cross border scam and lured by the unscrupulous travel agents in lieu to legal settlement in Canada. The family was deceitfully routed to through Dubai to Iran, where in Tehran they were abducted at Imam Khomeini International Airport by elements allegedly linked to the agent said Kang adding that they were since captive and ransom was being demanded from the family.
“As it is my bounden duty, the entire episode was briefed to the Ministry of External Affairs through a representation so as to ensure quick intervention for saving the family. I personally went to the Ministry at New Delhi to rake up the matter with the Union External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. The Ministry’s intervention brought a sigh of relief for the family and their relatives besides ensuring their secure repatriation” added Kang.
