Chandigarh: Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi will visit Punjab on Monday to assess the situation in areas affected by recent floods. His visit is being seen as politically significant.
According to party sources, Rahul Gandhi will land at Amritsar Airport at 9:30 am and proceed to Ramdas, where he will meet families impacted by the floods and hear their grievances.
During the visit, he will also pay obeisance at Gurudwara Baba Buddha Sahib Ji in Ramdas and interact with the Sangat engaged in relief efforts.
Gandhi is expected to review ongoing relief measures and coordinate with the local administration and organisations working on providing aid and rehabilitation.
