Randhawa family sets 24-hour ultimatum, seeks Bhullar’s arrest

Chandigarh: The family of deceased warehousing officer Gagandeep Singh Randhawa on Sunday issued a 24-hour ultimatum to Punjab Police, demanding the arrest of former minister Laljit Singh Bhullar in connection with the case.

Addressing a press conference, Randhawa’s wife said that if Bhullar is not arrested within 24 hours, she will sit on the streets along with her children in protest.

The deceased’s daughter Seerat Kaur said the family had been under constant pressure and remains in deep shock. Randhawa’s mother alleged that her son was severely distressed due to pressure from the minister, which affected his mental health.

The family asserted that Bhullar should be arrested immediately, stating that the delay is unjustified. They added that the case involves a non-bailable offence and that the accused should not be granted bail or allowed to leave.

They also said that while they do not have call records, the truth can be established through forensic investigation.

The case has intensified political tensions in Punjab, with mounting pressure on authorities to take swift action.
